The Ladies of Paul’s Hat Works would like YOU to be a model 1 day in the month of November.

Hello hat lovers, hat wearers and lovers of hat wearers,

A fun idea came out of our weekly meeting tonight. As you may or may not know, that we change our window displays monthly.   Next month our theme is “Mad Men” inspired.  Our windows will play host to live models.  Which simply means that for an hour or two live models dressed in “old time” clothes will be on display doing what they do. Since we are going for late 50’s early 60’s, the actions should correspond to typical or stereotypical acts like men reading the paper, paying bills, having a glass of scotch(actually apple juice) or tying a bow tie or tie; women could be baking, knitting or doing their make-up.  We are open to any ideas.

The Ladies of Paul’s Hat Works would like YOU to be a model 1 day in the month of November.

We are thinking that weekend mornings and afternoons would be best.  Think about it…  If you are interested let olivia@hatworksbypaul.com know and she will put you on the list as a live model.

Beverages and snack will be provided as well as any men’s or women accessories.

If you need some inspiration, come on down to the shop Paul 1 will have an episode of Mad Men cued up! or check out this image from a window display Barney’s did a few years back.

A man smiles after looking at a 1940s themed shop window of Barney''s November 30, 2000 in New York. Barney''s, a high-end department store, is using live models this year in its shop window displays, using a team of ten design students from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Each window represents a different recent decade.
