…and all that jazz!
March 6th, 2010
Mochas and sun that lost to the clouds…
Well well, have the Paul’s been busy or what! On Wednesday evening we went to an exquisite party at a friend/ customer of ours and met the SF Jazz Collective. We saw them perform, taught them about hats, and ended the night playing basketball in dresses and sequins. All in all, it was a success. In lieu of that event, we are (fingers crossed) hopefully making all eight of the members Paul’s Hat Works original hats. These fellas have class, talent, and style: the only thing they are missing are hats on their heads!
In other news: Alice in Wonderland debuted last night and the Paul’s attended the show, clad in top hats, tu-tus and face paint at the Kabuki Theatre. We made lots of friends, had an impromptu photo shoot in the movie theatre bathroom and then went on galavanting until the bars told us to go home. Our reaction to Alice in Wonderland is as follows: It is a visually beautiful movie, filled with clever banter among the characters. Johnny Depp is a hilarious mad hatter (disclaimer: making women’s hats for the Red Queen is “technically” millinery, not hatting).
Stay tuned, as March is turning out to be a fun-filled wild event attending time of year for us.
