The Sartorialist? Who’s that?

1 cup of coffee, one greasy breakfast at Joe’s
So, two days ago I recieved an email from our favorite boys of Taylor Stitch, inviting me to come along with them to a book signing of a man who has a popular blog called The Sartorialist. Who is that? I looked up the blog, and found that the Sartorialist is a middle aged attractive man who has been involved in the fashion industry for a while, and has started traveling the most fashionable districts of the most fashionable cities of the world and taking pictures of “normal” people on the street. He compiled his favorites into a book and went on tour. So armed with a minimal amount of information about him, I arrived at Paul Smith, a new fascinating clothing and accessories store focusing on men’s wear; great shoes, ties, coats, and was shocked when I saw a line to get in snaking around the corner! Packed with fashionistas, beautiful made up homosexuals, and lots and lots of fashion students.
The Taylor Stitch boys and a friend of theirs found me, they were also shocked that there was a line.
2 hours later we got in. Was it worth it? Maybe, maybe not. Got a picture with Scott Schuman himself, met some interesting folks in line who will hopefully come by the store, and got some good chatting in.
