The Fog and Sun are Battling
Coffee on its way
I want to give a tribute to my aunt, Diane, who I had the pleasure of visiting all day on Friday. A two hour drive to her and back, I was visiting her for the express purpose of helping and deciding on the final image we are embroidering into the linings of our felt hats. She is one the premier embroiderers in the United States, with no store because she mostly does mail orders. She can quite literally embroider any image anyone can come up with…Incredible. Her studio was quite amazing, a wall of cone thread, six embroidery machines, and many other treasures. A perfectionist, a jolly conversationalist, and a woman who can tell you what’s what, my aunt helped make several of our fantasies come true.
On another note, it was recently discovered that we Pauls are 100 years old! 23+23+25+29 = 100! So we get to celebrate our “100” birthday until Paul turns 26 in November.
