Renovations, Restorations, & Cleanings Oh My!

Our predecessor, Michael Harris, has always advised us from the beginning to never do restorations or cleanings of hats that aren’t Paul’s Hat Works Hats. And though we have always understood why he had his reasons, after a week of being open and taking in a couple fixer uppers to experiment on, we have decided to do what we can to renovate and clean, on a case by case basis. This means that there is now a new option for people who were looking to toss or pass on their old battered hats, or hats that are too big or too small, and we are now one of few in California, that can help clean and restore the old beauties out there.
Myself and the ladies believe strongly in sustainability, and in keeping objects alive as long as possible, and even if the profit margin is smaller on fixer uppers than on making new hats, it’s something we believe in and something that we believe is important in developing relationships with new customers and hat wearers. If any of you have questions about restorations or fixing hats, feel free to let us know anytime!

I just dropped off 2 panama hats and 1 fur felt hat to be worked on. Thanks for working on hats other than Paul’s hat shop hats. Seems like good business sense to me to accept these hats,if you only worked on the hats that you sold I think you might walk a tight profit line,if any profit. I have 8 panama hats all of good quality, and 5 fur felt hats,my wife gets sick of all the hats, but she says “You look good”.I always sent my panama hats to the east coast to be worked on,I would prefer doing business with you, the old Paul’s hat works would not accept my business. I know Michael did good work,so you will learn from a good hatter. I look forward to doing business with you,and best of luck in your new business venture. I will spread the word, depending on the quality of work done on my hats.I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks
